Research Overview
The MSU Internal Medicine Residency provides extensive and diverse clinical investigation opportunities. A Core Faculty member devoted to clinical investigation assists residents desiring training. We have had numerous residents successfully participate in regional, national, and international competitions, with prize-winning results. Each resident is required to engage in scholarly activity, ranging from an evidence-based review of an assigned topic to a longitudinal bench project. Clinical investigation electives are offered, allowing residents to focus on a topic under supervision of a faculty mentor during a 4-week block elective.
This section contains information for residents interested in clinical investigation opportunities, as well as resources for those nearing the publication or presentation stage. Take a look at some recent resident accomplishments, and find inspiration in the associated list of faculty with a stated interest in working with resident scholars.
